Ministries & Groups

Directory of Ministries and Organizations

The Knights of Columbus began in 1882 in New Haven, Connecticut when Father Michael McGivney and a small group of pioneering Catholic men founded it. It has grown to 1.9 million members and is the world’s largest Catholic lay organization. It provides members and their families with volunteer opportunities in service to the Catholic Church, the community, families and young people. St. Cecilia Knights of Columbus Council 7395 works in solidarity with our pastor by helping with anything he calls on us to do. We serve at Mass as Coordinators, Ushers, Eucharistic Ministers, Lectors and Altar Servers. Our Knights also volunteer at the local hospital, the Veterans’ Center, Special Olympics, Clear Creek Monastery, Lenten meals, Tootsie Roll Drives and the yearly Parish Picnic. We assist widows of deceased Knights. The K of C cook and serve two breakfasts each month with the proceeds going to scholarship opportunities to assist seminarians, Life Teen, Wheel Chair Foundation, Habitat for Humanity and many other worthwhile charities.
