Introducing our new Director of Family Formation
It is with joy that we welcome Becky Holder in her new position as Director of Family Formation. Becky brings many gifts to our staff and we are delighted to have her here in this new position of responsibility for the Parish. Welcome, Becky, to the Parish Staff! We are very happy to have you join us. -Fr. Carvajal
In Becky's words:
I’m happy to introduce myself as the new Director of Family Formation at St. Cecilia. I am grateful to Fr. Carvajal for this opportunity to walk alongside parish families as they do the important work of raising their children in the Church. I look forward to becoming a part of this parish community and getting to know each of you. Please don’t hesitate to reach out! -Becky Holder
A New Approach to Religious Education
Under the guidance and direction of Bishop Konderla, our diocese is taking a new approach to religious education which will be family centric and church supported. As the first educators of children in the ways of the faith, the parents will take the lead of religious education in the home using programs developed here in the parish. Support from the parish staff will be always available and ongoing as we work together to support Bishop Konderla’s vision for strong, vibrant Catholic families. Here at St. Cecilia, the model will be for families to meet together at the parish once a month on Wednesday evenings to learn together and be filled with what they need to go and make disciples.
Don't have a child in the program?
We still need your support. Please take the opportunity to pray for our staff and our families with young children as we navigate this new model. Your prayers will most certainly strengthen us as we work together to equip our children to become great saints.
